Providing Education
Building on Dr. Sutherland’s vision, quality continuing medical education is a high priority for the Foundation. Each year scholarships are available to undergraduate students, interns and residents to attend Introductory Courses in Osteopathy in the Cranial Field, sponsored by The Osteopathic Cranial Academy. We also offer scholarships to early career Practicing Physicians for Intermediate Courses. The Foundation monies may also be used to purchase teaching aids, including skulls, bones and audio-visual equipment. To apply for teaching aids contact 818-796-6750.

Eligible applicants are Osteopathic Physicians (D.O.), Medical Physicians (M.D.), Dental Physicians (D.D.S./D.M.D.) in training, Residents, or Physicians in practice for 5 years or less.
Osteopathic Physicians (D.O.), Medical Physicians (M.D.), Dental Physicians (D.D.S./D.M.D.) in training or residents are eligible to apply.
Some additional scholarships are available from Donor-Restricted funds for certain applicant categories. To apply for those, fill in the optional information on the application.
All Applicants will be notified of their application outcome.
CME: The Osteopathic Cranial Academy has requested that the AOA Council on Continuing Medical Education approve this program for 40 hours of AOA Category 1-A CME credits, which also satisfies AMA category 1 and American Academy of Family Practice elective credit requirements.
