Stories About Osteopathy

“I was diagnosed with a large uterine fibroid which was causing extreme pain to my hip area and wouldn’t go away….”

Before I first saw Dr. Spector, I was diagnosed with a large uterine fibroid which was causing extreme pain to my hip area and wouldn’t go away. An MRI showed my organs had shifted to one side and were pressing on a nerve. Dr. Spector was able to ease those organs off that nerve and finally relieve the pain. After continued treatments the pain went away and I was able to avoid any surgery.

Once I had shingles in my ear accompanied with Ramsey Hunt Syndrome (paralysis on half my face.) Dr. Spector helped me get back my nerve function at a gentle and safe pace and kept the pain from traveling down my neck. When I walked into her office that day my ear was aching, I had pain working its way down my neck to my teeth, jaw and shoulder and my face was paralyzed. She didn’t hesitate to treat all those symptoms. When I walked out of the office the pain working down my neck was gone. The other symptoms took a while longer to fix. This was a scary time for me and she saw me through it completely. I had no recurrences after that for about 10 years or so, until 2021 and the symptoms I will describe next.

One morning in 2021 I woke up with extreme vertigo in which I couldn’t leave my bedroom for 2 days. Besides the dizziness my symptoms were slurred speech, off balance, memory loss and ear pain. The 2nd COVID vaccine seemed to target my ear where I previously had shingles. Some of these symptoms lingered on for about 4-6 months and I just wasn’t right inside. I finally went to see Dr. Spector who was treating others for similar things. After 3 visits she was able to open up the channels needed and after months of discomfort I turned a corner to feel right again. She continues to heal me time and time again. The scope of her knowledge in so many areas is very impressive and continues to help so many people like myself.
